A different couple

I nodded and half smiled accepting that he had discovered me. On the table were a couple of dupes who, after an hour and a half, I managed to pluck. I already told you the time before that I am a professional poker player, few realize before they have lost a large amount of money. The guy realized as soon as he saw me arrive.



When I had raised more than 1,500 bucks to those two unsuspecting poker players (very bad by the way) I got bored and got up apologizing for my winning streak that night. The dealer, who knew me, shook his head as he smiled at me.



But that couple had intrigued me. Something told me that it was not a normal couple, it was different from what moved around the Island of tourism. I did a quick probability calculation and decided they weren't disco fauna. Around the casino were a couple of alternative gambling dens that fit his profile better. I got it right on the first try. At the Bubba, a nineties music club, I found Javier at one end of the bar with a bottle in his hand while Lorena captured everyone's glances dancing at her own pace, at that moment Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit.



He was right, this was a different couple. And I liked them. I approached the bar. I ordered a drink and raised it to the guy as a toast. He returned it to me by lifting his bottle and motioning for me to come over to him. I arrived and we introduced ourselves:



-Good hand you've had at the poker table… -I told him to break the ice.



"No less than you ..." He replied in reference to my experience.
