"Yea well a convertible didn't seem to be in mom's budget when she bought me this car but I like it enough. She spends too much of her money emptying the racks at the mall to worry about what I drive" I reply smiling sarcastically.

"Well you certainly did get your dad's quick wits and tongue that is for sure Dani. But I am glad to see that you got your looks from our side of the family, me not included though. I am so glad you decided to hangout here for a few days. I will be in and out so you will have plenty of time to do whatever you like" Uncle Lee said.

We retrieved my bags from the car and I do not travel light like alot of people but I was the only one who needed to see in a couple of those bags. Uncle Lee had a few years ago bought a house on one of the golf courses but the new place was immaculate. Marble floors, every wall decorated a kitchen to die for, and when you walked out on the patio deck the waves seem to be coming right at you.

"I guess life has been very good to you Uncle Lee! I know this place was many times what the golf house cost you and our house together" I told him.

"Well when I got down here I made some really good real estate buys. They multiplied their money many times over. I now have three small strip malls that allowed me to buy this place. I now own some rental units that puts money in my wallet. Yes I have to say I have been very fortunate in being in the right place at the right time Dani. So tell me are you planning on going to school down here next year. I have a place near the school right now that doesn't have anyone staying there. It could save you tons of money on rent and I wouldn't even tell your mom that I was letting you stay there for free." he said making me an offer that I had no chance of turning down.

I had worn a pair of Soffe shorts on my drive down but they were not nearly as short as what I would wear around the house at home. My hair was under my Carolina ball cap and a light blue tee shirt was modest enough even for me I thought.
