Angela sat on her couch in her living room sipping on a glass of wine and tried not to cry. What a shitty birthday. Her best friend, Kathy, who happened to be a co-worker of her boyfriend John, sent her an interesting picture of him a couple of days ago. “God, I don’t know what I saw in that fucker!” She mumbled. Angela gradually shifted from anger to depression as it grew nearer to her birthday. This would have been the first time she had someone special to share on her special day.
